Olympian Mouthguards has a Mouthguard clinic based in Maryville, Newcastle and also has a mobile mouthguard clinic van that is able to visit NRL, AFL, Rugby clubs, Boxing gyms, MMA and any professional, Amateur or beginner althlete at their club, gym or residence. Using traditional impression taking techniques we create custom-fitted mouthguards for athletes of all ages. All mouthguards are issued by an AHPRA-registered dental practitioner. 

A custom-fitted mouthguard offers superior protection compared to sports store pre-fabricated boil and bite mouthguards. They help prevent dental, soft tissue and jaw injuries while providing a comfortable fit for better performance.

Olympian Mouthguards are fabricated to contact all surfaces of your dentition and surrounding gum tissues which gives superior comfort and protection when experiencing heavy impacts in contact sports. A tight fitting mouthguard will ensure your dentition has maximum support. Olympian Mouthguards are designed to give clearer speech and breathability, so athletes can train and play at their peak performance.

Olympian Mouthguards can meet at any location. Each athlete will be asked to fill out a custom mouthguard order form, sit in our Incredible hulk reclining dental chair, have a maxillary impression taken (and mandibular if required), and then choose their personalised mouthguard design. We bring all the equipment to fullfil a mobile service for individuals or groups at any sports club, or gym. All equipment used to take impressions are included in the price. Minimum of 5-10 athletes for a group booking.

Booking is easy! Simply contact us via our website, email, or phone to schedule a visit. We’ll work with you to find a convenient time that suits best. There is a minimum of 5 to secure your booking for clubs and boxing gyms.

Absolutely! We follow strict infection control guidelines to keep taking impressions process completely safe and comfortable.

Pricing varies based on the design you choose, typically ranging between $200–$250. In most group bookings a 5-10% discount is applied. See the full pricing details on our pricing page.

We accept cash/credit/debit cards and online payments on the day of your appointment.

Insurance rebates: In some cases, your insurance may cover part of the cost. Please check with your provider. While we cannot assist directly with rebates, we will provide an itemised invoice to help with your claim.

After your scan, your custom mouthguard will typically be ready within 6–10 business days. We’ll deliver it directly to your sports club and perform a fit check. Alternatively we can send it to your preferred address. If there are any delays we’ll keep you informed.

At this time, we do not offer same-day mouthguards as they require precise fabrication to ensure the best fit and protection. However, if you need it urgently, please let us know, and we’ll do our best to expedite the process.

Rinse your mouthguard with warm or cold soapy water after use, dry off and store it in its protective case. Avoid using toothpaste, as it may scratch the surface, use mild soap and a soft toothbrush instead. If you prefer a fresher feel to your mouthguard a mouth wash cleanser maybe used. Keep it away from hot water and extreme heat to prevent warping. Avoid airtight containers, as they can promote mould and bacteria growth.

With proper care, a custom mouthguard can last an entire sports season or longer. However, growing athletes may need replacements more frequently due to changes in their teeth.

No problem! Custom mouthguards can accommodate braces and other dental appliances. If not, contact us, and we’ll let you know the next available time to take a new impression and make a new mouthguard.

Currently, we focus on custom sports mouthguards. However, feel free to ask if you have specific needs, such as a replacement retainer or whitening trays.

We guarantee a perfect fit! If you experience any mis-fit upon the issue of your mouthguard, contact us immediately and we’ll adjust or remake your mouthguard at no additional cost. Be aware that any new dental work can affect the fit of your custom mouthguard.
